VERKOSTUNGSNOTIZEN
Leuchtende Farbe von intensivem Granatrot mit violetten Nuancen. Weitreichende Intensität auch in der Nase, mit Noten von Waldbeeren (Maul-und Heidelbeeren), Gewürzen (Zimt und Pfeffer) und Kakao. Im Gaumen voll, harmonisch und warm, mit elegant seidigen Tanninen und einem würzigen, langen Abgang.
NAMENSURSPRUNG
Millepassi bezieht sich auf das altrömische Längenmaß "milium", das 1480 Metern entspricht oder eben den nötigen tausend Schritten (italienisch : mille passi) um auf den römischen Straßen von einem Meilenstein zum nächsten zu gelangen. Eine dieser Straßen durchquerte ehemals das Gut Donna Olimpia.

CloseScore: 90 points. This is clearly the best wine ever from here, with currants, minerals, light mint and flowers. Full body with firm tannins and an intense finish. This is so polished and gorgeous. Cabernet sauvignon, merlot and petit verdot. A long life ahead of it: better in 2017.

Close PdfScore: 94 points. Wow. Wonderfull depth of fruit to this with chili powder character as well. Full body, with very fine tannins and a long finish of currants and spices. Love the length and texture to this. Better in 2014 but so delicious and balanced now. Best wine ever from here.
